Operation Northwood. What is this you may ask? It was a secret operation created by the Department of Defense and agreed upon by the Joint Chief of Staff. This operation called for the US government to commit acts of terrorism in the United States. This document created by the US stated they were going to assassinate civilians, blow up ships, and blow up buildings. They were going to blame it on Cuba; thus, giving us free reign to invade Cuba. This was proposed in 1962, and the public was only allowed to see it because of the Freedom of Information Act. However, JFK rejected this. Kennedy continued to limit military action in Cuba. 1 year later, Hes assassinated. #stayindenial
