Operations Administrator - Chicago, IL Title: Operations Administrator Location: Chicago, IL Compensation: Commensurate with experience Summary: The Operations Administrator is a key member of the operations/back office team. The OA works closely with the Director of Operations, Trading, and Portfolio Managers. The OA is responsible for various administrative and support duties for the operations team as well as assisting other departments at the firm as needed. Responsibilities: Daily client transaction and holdings reconciliation/trade settlement Assist with trade entry on internal OMS/APL Link intraday prices in portfolio accounting system Update daily client performance Open/close client accounts on portfolio accounting system Monitor custodian alerts regarding client accounts Obtain monthly client statements for books and records retention Assist Operations/Compliance with due diligence questionnaires/RFPs Assist with CRM data administration Assist with vendor contracts/broker share payments Monitor broker coverage list Complete proxy voting submissions/maintain voting records Perform ad hoc administrative projects Requirements: Bachelor in Finance/Accounting 2 to 4 years of investment industry experience, preferably in operations for an investment firm, bank/trust company High degree of accuracy/attention to detail with strong problem solving skills Well-organized/self-directed team player able to work independently Perform a wide variety of complex/confidential tasks with speed and accuracy Works effectively under pressure with frequent interruptions/effectively juggle multiple tasks Uses initiative/exercises independent judgment Excellent verbal/written skills Ability to communicate effectively/constructively with clients Energetic/forward-thinking/creative individual with high ethical standards/an appropriate professional image Proficiency with Excel/PowerPoint/Word/MS Outlook Knowledge of Advent’s Axys/Moxy/DTCC/Checkfree APL preferred Salentica CRM a plus
