Opinion: Hating With Cruel Hatred If the story of wanting to eliminate Solwezi Central Member of Parliament through poisoning is anything to go by, then Zambia must brace itself for the worst. When we watch movies we see these things happen were a bartender, waiter, waitress or any patron in a bar laces someone’s drink with something. The person later dies. But Mulusa’s story unfortunately is not a movie. It has been told by someone who survived the attempt to eliminate him. Mulusa is by far one of the most brilliant lawmakers we have in parliament right now and losing him in whichever way would be a big blow to not only the people of his constituency but Zambia as a whole except of course for people who habour cruel hatred against the legislator. If you have been following Mulusa’s consistency on calling for Mutembo Nchito to step down as the Director of Public Prosecutions because he lied to a parliamentary select committee which sat to ratify his appointment, your finger may not be pointing the wrong way. Yes, someone wants Mulusa dead. That unsolicited for whisky at the National Assembly Motel was meant to do it, and Mulusa may have died in his sleep. No wonder there is talk that the dreaded UNIP days are back when a lot of people died mysteriously, through road accidents, short or long illnesses or indeed just collapsing. In this day and age of the internet it seems certain people connected to power including one editor of a private tabloid are hell bent on ensuring that whoever they think is a threat to what they are swimming in right now, whoever they believe made their lives uncomfortable by revealing their other side must feel the heat. But they themselves have called people all sorts of names and continue to do so today much like a bastard who has just discovered that after all his father has been alive all this while and has been a man of influence yet he grew up hustling and hopping from uncle to uncle. Yes kind of being brought up by the grace of God. Very heartless. That is why the alleged Face Book page impersonating freelance journalist Chanda Chimba, III was opened so that whoever was behind it could one day post something really nasty to implicate Chimba in some seditious scam of sorts. After being exposed by Zambia Reports the page just vanished into thin air. Infact, word has it that apart from filing a complaint with Face Book, Chimba actually also reported the impersonation to the Zambia Police who are actively pursuing the matter in the hope of finding out who is behind the scam. Surely if it is not state agents behind it, the culprit or culprits shall be caught especially now that there is a dedicated Cyber Crime Unit in the Zambia Police Service. The people behind the attempt to eliminate Mulusa through poisoning and the Face Book impersonation of Chimba surely must hate these two brave sons of Zambia with a passion and that is not enough, they hate these two sons of the soil with cruel hatred.
