Opinions please: I have had a Thule Hullavator for a couple of years now (because of 2 shoulder surgeries) and have actually paddled more because of it. I solo paddle a lot. I use to have a plastic longboat and I found the landing pads on the unit caused oil canning (not from strapping it down). I now have a fiberglass boat and am worried about causing stress on the bottom hull. I am currently carrying the boat on j-racks but I drive an Element, Im horizontally challenged. (I also have a load assist bar.) I REALLY want to use the Hullavator again but wanted to ask for thoughts on tweaking the landing pads or other ideas so I dont wreck my boat. Please help:)
