Opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) has commended President Michael Sata over his decision to fire justice minister Wynter Kabimba from government. UPND Copperbelt province information and publicity secretary Kennedy Kalunga told Sun FM news this afternoon that the firing of Mr. Kabimba should go as a lesson to other cabinet ministers who think that they are untouchable. Mr. Kalunga also said that Mr. Kabimba was a stumbling block to the enactment of the new constitution, adding that now that he has been fired, the new justice minister should ensure that the people of Zambia are given a new constitution immediately. Mr. Kalunga further appealed to the head of state to furnish the nation with the details as to why Mr. Kabimba has being fired both as party secretary general and cabinet minister. He wondered what the PF party constitution states on how a party secretary general should be fired.
