This exciting opportunity will be based in Xieng Khouang Province. She/he will lead the Victim Assistance Support Team (VAST) which will improve services provided to UXO survivors and UXO victims in Xieng Khouang Province. Key Responsibilities: • Participates as a member of the VAST which will regularly visit UXO survivors and victims • Trains and supports team through regular education sessions • Collects the results of team visits and works with the team to develop individual survivor and victim plans which improve the well-being of UXO victims and survivors. • Monitors the progress of the case management system with the team Social Worker to address the identified needs of the target groups • Works with the data officer to improve the information management system so it can be more widely used by World Education, the Departments of Health, and other partners • Coordinates with employers about job openings, skills required, willingness to employ UXO survivors and assistance they might require to hire UXO survivors. • Conducts program monitoring and evaluation • Writes and submits required reports • Other duties as assigned Qualifications • University degree in Agriculture, Rural Development, Public Health, Social Work or other related field • Two years relevant work experience • Ability to write and speak English • Prior work experience working with INGOs in UXO Victim Assistance (or “in the UXO Victim Assistance sector”) a plus • Ability to work with Government of Lao counterparts • Ability to live in Xieng Khouang and make frequent travel to remote villages Salary and Benefits: World Education offers a competitive salary and benefit package including employee and family health insurance, 13th month salary, severance benefits and career development opportunities.
