Ordinary people come and go. But martyrs never die! They run in our veins with blood... Guru Arjan Dev Ji was tortured to death by Mughal emperor Jahangir. He was forced to sit on red hot iron pan. Hot sand was poured on him for hours. This torture lasted for days. Finally Jahangir ordered his men to sew Guru in cow-skin. Guru Arjan asked to take a bath in river Ravi as his last wish. He went into river but never came out. Guru endured all insults and tortures but he could never see the holy cow (most sacred as per holy texts and Gurus) being killed because of him. Guru gave his life to make Dharma alive.. Agniveer salutes our great Guru Arjan Dev Ji for supreme sacrifice he made. It is because of martyrs like him, we Indians still survive and thrive. Jo bole so nihaal, Sat Shri Akaal...
