The Governor has added legislation (formerly SB633) to his PERS package that will end local residents ability to vote on food and farming issues. Kitzhaber’s action favors cor-porate interests that are trying to advance GMO agriculture in Oregon. Together, we will express our outrage to the governor for allowing corporations to write Oregon laws that would devastate our local food systems and extinguish the people’s right to pass laws to protect them.
