Organ Donation Day Celebration 2014. The first Programme organised by MyIndia MyCreation. Though under our projects we have been doing many programmes, this the first one professionally. Apart from child issues, for the first time we took up a different social cause. ORGAN DONATION. As first timers we had to do a lot of planning and underwent tension due to last minute changes. But above all this we wanted to give our best. And Yes. We did it. Around 1300++ people have registered to donate their organs. The programme was conducted in association with Social Work Department of PSG College of Arts & Science and sponsored by Alayam Welfare trust in Bhramam Hall on August 6th2014. We had our guest Dr.Swaminathan, from PSG Institute of Medical Science & Research. He gave a detailed session about Organ Donation, its need, the current status in India and so with a short film played about Organ donation. We had the presence of Dr. Jothimani and Dr. Muralidharan, former HODs Department of Social Work, Dr. Shylaja, HOD, Sociology Department, Dr. Ratnasapabathi from English Department, Dr. Rajan, HOD, Department of Social Work and staff member Dr. Rajeshwari and Mrs. Anitha and other staffs members. We are always grateful to everyone mentioned above, parents, our friends from other organizations, our friends from PSGCAS, our friends from other colleges and all others who made this function successful one.
