Organising Toys I am a firm believer that kids do not need toys yet I have SO much toys that several people have commented that I have more toys than a play school! Just cant beat ToysRus yet. We have given away more than 10 big black garbage bags full of toys and yet we still have toys at home although majority of which were hand me downs. The girls have been driving me crazy with their toys because although Ive organised them in boxes clearly labelled as follows: Food (for all toy food) Cooking (for all utensils and crockery) Dolls (dolls and bears, and other such aliens) Household (miniature household equipment) Cars (all vehicles) Lego Science (any toy that is Science related, eg. kaleidoscope, magnifying glass, cameras, including toy puzzles, etc) Music (all musical instruments) Toy Soldiers Miscellaneous (dan lain-lain) ......they still mix them all up and toys are strewn everywhere till I see no floor. Despite the fact that they have a lot of toys, they still do make a lot of stuff themselves. Its all about brainwashing. But how they drive me mad is to leave ALL their toys all over the house after playing and Im turned into a constant nagger. I keep giving away toys and threaten to continue to do so yet. So our English tutor gave us an idea yesterday and that was to only keep one box out at any one time and the rest in storage where it is inaccessible to the kids. Yes, I think that could work. Out of sight, out of mind. Maybe. My SIL says she does that for her dogs in the States and it works like a charm because when the toys are rotated, the Dogs think they are getting a brand new you each time and get really excited. So yeah, we will be busy organising our toys again and I will start treating my kids like my dogs. Lets hope it works! Woof!
