There were comfort stations in Taiwan during the war as there was a period when Japan made Taiwan a part of them just like they annexed Korea. Not all of course, but there are many Taiwanese people who lived in those days who were very fond of Imperial Japan back then as much as Japan today. Many of them have written books or spoke on TV how good the Japanese were in Taiwan back then, and how sad they are to see Japanese themselves misunderstanding their ancestors today.
