Oskaloosa is filled with many tales and folklore. Stories about 5-points, mine explosions and for our feature, the Witches Tree. The Witches Tree is a tale told in the Oskaloosa area that stems from 3 gravestones and a very distinct tree that grows near them at an area cemetery. In fun for the upcoming Halloween season, local filmmaker Jason Van Zetten and Ken Allsup spin some yarn to the story. This short film in no way endorses a belief in the occult, but only serves to provide some form of entertainment.
