Others are a potent force, our lives and hopes to shape; try as we will to ignore them, their influence we cant escape. Some would have us believe a lie: Were acceptable only to our mothers! Seldom is heard and encouraging word, in the gospel according to others. Others seem to be assured Gods will for our lives they know; Though their own lives be askew, They delight in telling us where to go! And when their jibes and comments come from love thats real, yet smothers, we find ourselves rejected with love in the gospel according to others. Then there are those who covet some work in our lives Gods done; But they disdain the suffering thats required to make us one. The cross theyd like to bypass for the self-centered life it bothers! They want the power without the death, in the gospel according to others. What will others think? Is a question that dogs our tracks. Though they may be nameless, we cant get them off our backs. But when we see ourselves with brothers, we can be free from Satans ploy, in the gospel according to others. And when our work on Earth is done, others will not our work assess. Tis our Fathers place to say: Well done; Whats of Him Hes pleased to bless. Those who likewise walk with God. Speak peace and love to one another, at Home, with Christ, forever free of THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO OTHERS. C.R. Solomon
