Otisha Vesprey , 19 of Sobo Village, La Brea was struck by a motor vehicle on High Street, San Fernando, yesterday while walking on the pedestrian crossing .Vesprey sustained hip and leg injuries. A police officer express her displeasure at the Emergency Services ambulance taking a hour to respond to the accident. The officer said she was informed the ambulances were at the emergency department of the hospital awaiting the availability of cots so they were unable to respond immediately . The motor vehicle involved in the incident was escorted to the San Fernando police headquarters by two police patrols cars.
