Ottawa. I recall sitting at the Tomb of the Unknown - TopicsExpress

Ottawa. I recall sitting at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in 2003. I was taken aback by the connection I felt to that place. A connection with this unknown soul. And next to the tomb, lies Parliament. Canadian Parliament is a truly beautiful building; and every day it opens its lawn and its halls to the public. It is safe. It is open. There is no gate. It isnt the Whitehouse. I hope that element will not change. Maybe that is naive thought; a plea harkening back to the days when I was taken to the cockpit of an aircraft to meet the pilot. What a thrill that was. It is bizarre to think this current generation will never experience such a simple thrill because of horrific events that shape this world. That said, I hope Parliament, such a beautiful place in Canada, remains open for all to enjoy and experience. It is a place of timelessness and memory. How tragic for death, chaos, and disorder to take place underneath the Peace Tower. Remain strong and remain Canadian.
