Ottawa Police Department Ident-a-Kid Event: The Ident-a-Kid system was granted to the police department by the Ottawa Police Foundation. This child ID card provides parents and law enforcement with crucial information should your child become lost or missing. Our drivers license-like card contains your child’s photograph, fingerprint and description. Parents keep this card or the eKid card with them at all times, and in an emergency, can immediately provide law enforcement with relevant information. On October 15, police volunteers and police officers created eKid cards for 50 children at the early childhood development class held at Ottawa High School. On October 17, from 5pm-8pm, we will hold another event at the DYI store on S. Princeton Street. Participation is free.
