Our 5th grade class will be showcased tonight on the local news. Channels 13 abc at 5:30pm and 24 nbc at 6:00pm for their celebration of Native American Culture. After months of preparation, the fifth graders celebrated the Native American Festival with the school today. Each student researched a tribe from various regions across the United States. Along with their research report, students displayed examples of clothing, jewelry, ceremonial masks, crafts, recipes, and a model of their tribe’s shelter. History came alive as the school sampled some traditional foods, learned about the different tribes, and even made a God’s Eye craft.
