Our 81st Word: Now that Janet Napoles has executed an Affidavit detailing the participation of Sen. Enrile, Jinggoy and Revilla in the illegal disbursement of PDAF funds and their receipt of kickback from Napoles herself, anent the unlawful expenditure of the said funds, it is proper that Napoles should be discharged as state witness. Napoles is not the most guilty among those charged with plunder by the Ombudsman. It should be noted that the 3 are all public officers - their receipt of 50% commission from every PDAF transaction and their being senators, which is an aggravating circumstance, should be given paramount consideration in the determination of their guilt, such that, Napoles, not being at par with them in the determination of their liability, should be discharged as state witness.
