Our Apostle, Barbara Tooze Carter, gave us an excused absence from church services (inside our church bldgs. today), so my hubby (Bruce Dillon) quoted on our l o n g, crazy traffic drive home last night from the Ches. Bay Priesthood Retreat in Springfield, VA. I did not hear this w/my own ears because I was frantically grading a massive amount of computer papers so that I might have grades ready by this wk. Thus, we are still in our jammies enjoying homemade lattes & LOTS of coffee while discussing the wonderful day of fellowship. If this quote is not accurate, I blame it all on Bruces talent of selective listening :) Thanks to Barbara Tooze Carter & Michele McGrath for their wonderful ministry yesterday. Although we will be ministering at UVA Hospital today . . . does that make up for the absence from church this a.m.? :) We are indeed blessed to now be a part of the fellowship of CofChrist in this area of VA, DC & MD. God is great!
