Our Boston-based client, a successful Telecommunications internet service provider, is looking for highly qualified professionals for a full-time, permanent Senior Network Security Engineer role that is based just outside of Boston, MA. The position starts immediately, and professionals must be based in the Boston area or be able to spend a substantial amount of time in Boston while working virtually. This exciting opportunity requires an experienced network security professional with strong hands-on experience architecting solutions, with a significant focus on security, performance, scalability and reliability. As a security advocate, the hired candidate will advise key stakeholders on risk management and how to balance security with business requirements, while communicating mitigation strategies to both technical and non-technical audiences. This Senior Network Security Engineer will also be responsible for planning, design, configuration and support of the companys core security architecture and will collaborate with the other engineering teams to implement improved security measures for their worldwide network. The position offers a wide degree of creativity, as the professional will proactively identify risks, propose mitigations and lead security improvement projects. Requirements: Minimum 5 years of experience architecting solutions with a focus on security, performance, scalability and reliability Minimum 7 years of progressively complex networking and security experience including hands-on experience with Cisco products (routers, switches, ASAs and TACACS) An expert understanding and working knowledge of TCP/IP, access control lists, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls and dynamic routing protocols Experience in a Telecommunications service provider and/or Internet Service Provider environment using protocols such as SIP, DIAMETER, SIGTRAN, SMPP, GTP is strongly preferred CCIE with Security focus is a plus Excellent communication skills and experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams Bachelors or Masters degree preferred in Electrical / Computer Engineering or Computer Science If you or someone you know possesses the required experience as listed above, please reply to this email.
