Our British Film and TV industry must take care not to keep falling over itself in its desire to keep attracting the big bucks studios. It may look good to say the crew dont mind doing a 12 hour continuous day (cos they enjoy the overtime!) and it helps keep the budget down but the 10 hour continuous day was introduced to keep the pace going (and give people a life out of the film or TV project) and keep on schedule. If one cant then The people in charge must look to whether the Creative team know what they are doing. In support of Sarah Jones and all the other awful things that have been covered up in the Entertainment Industry. We must draw a line and hold to it. Mind you it is probably already too late. How excited the Politicians get when they boast our studios are full thanks to tax incentives etc. Well I want to inspire youngsters into a safe industry. An industry when crews do count ( and as part of that the understanding that money, for all our sakes, cannot become the only criteria). I worked with Micky Moore and Neville Thompson and Eric Rattray, great People who delivered and were loved and respected for being honourable men and fair
