Our Church Council will have a called meeting at 4:30 pm on August 18 in the Fellowship Hall. The meeting is to consider to two specific items. We will not discuss other ministries and issues as we normally do. First, we will consider approval of several welcoming ministry projects that would improve our buildings and grounds. Some of the items under consideration include new flooring for a portion of the Education Building; new flooring for the Wesley Center; a new marquee; shrubbery; and repair/improvements to the parking lot. We will also consider funding of these improvements, as well as funding for the previously approved signs project. Second, we will consider approval of the agreement with the Holston Foundation that will govern the Mary Eleanor Carrier Cowan Endowment. A generous gift of Ron and Edith Carrier, it is intended to be used to benefit our buildings and grounds. As always, all people are welcome to attend our Church Council meetings.
