Our Daily Food for the Soul for today, October 16, 2013: GOOD WORKS - [God] will repay everyone according to his works: eternal life to those who seek glory, honor, & immortality through perseverance in good works. Romans 2:6 -:- I belong to a mission team that travels to Caloocan City. Every Wednesday after work, this group of missionaries meet at 5:30 pm to travel one & a half hours to share the Good News to our brothers & sisters in Caloocan. They conduct prayer meetings, prepare food for the people & do some counseling at the end of the prayer meeting. Most of the time, they all get to go home at midnight. They do the tirelessly, with great joy. Every time I serve with them., I go home blessed & filled with Gods love. They do not seek glory & honor for themselves, but they do this because they have responded to the call of Jesus go out into the whole world & proclaim the Gospel to every creature. Like many missionaries, they remain constant to the task in spite of obstacles. Do you sometimes feel weary & exhausted in doing Gods work? Know that God is not blind to the good works that you do. He will repay you beyond your imagination! -:-:-:- Dear Lord, give me strength to do good works. May You pleased with me in everything that I do.
