Our December Group class dates are now available: Wednesday December 3 Puppy Kindergarten at 6:00pm with Lindsay Wednesday December 3 Basic Elementary at 7:00pm with Lindsay All our group classes run for 7 weeks. We take up to 10 teams(handler&dog) per class. The cost is $110.00 (for all 7 weeks) plus tax if you pay by credit card or check. If you pay cash you get a discount. All dogs must be current with vaccinations prior to the start of class and all puppies need to be vaccinated for their second series of vaccines. If you think group classes are not right for you we offer private lessons with Pascal or a three week Resident Obedience Program. Puppy Kindergarten The best and most important time to start training is at the earliest stage possible. Puppy class is the place to start. Socialization is the main emphasis of this class, but includes name recognition, walking nicely on a leash, as well as learning and recognizing puppy behaviors. Puppy class is for puppies 10 weeks to 4 ½ months old. Basic Elementary This course is the foundation for all training courses. During this course, you will to teach your dog to sit, stay, down, heel, stand, and come. You will be able to learn your dog’s behaviors, how to eliminate and discriminate between undesirable behaviors as well as those that deserve rewarding. Dogs must be 5 ½ months or older. Intermediate/Advance This intermediate level course offers you and your dog the opportunity to build on the basics. In this class, you will emphasize long stays, increase distractions, and improve dog socialization skills. Dogs must have completed Basic Elementary for Intermediate or completed intermediate for Advance. Basic Agility The focus is on introducing the obstacles of agility as well as handling skills in a positive way that is fun for both you and your dog. This class is open to dogs with little or no dog agility experience. You and your dog will learn how to properly and safely perform tunnels, A-frames, dog walk, jumps, tires, etc. All dogs must have completed a basic class. Foundations of Agility This is an introduction class to the basics in competition agility. Time is spent on obstacle performance, sequencing, and working through problems on an agility course such as: spacing, angles, and approaches, discrimination problems, side changes, handler restrictions, speed and flow. At the conclusion of class there is a friendly competition. All dogs must have completed a basic class.
