The annual survey of Floridas coral reefs is part of the Florida Reef Resiliency Program (FRRP). The surveys support multi-agency efforts to develop and implement strategies for improving the health of Floridas reefs and enhance the sustainability of reef-dependent commerce and recreational activities. The FRRP, a project spearheaded by The Nature Conservancy, uses the same coral condition indicators developed by EPAs Gulf Ecology Division for use in Florida and the Caribbean.
