Our Fallen Heroes 100 years fallen heroes we must remember Brave hearts & souls who wouldnt surrender In trenches so deep with rats running wild Soldiers writing home to loved ones, the wife, the child Wondering whether theyd be alive the next day Missing all their family so far away Wounded & injured they just carried on Grieving fellow soldiers already killed, gone Picking up dog tags to take back home To grieving family who felt so alone So many lives lost so many hearts broken So many words left unsaid not spoken And even now service men & woman fight on For peace in this world that seems all but gone Risking their lives for us all every day All we can do for them is just pray Show your respect & never forget All our war heroes who had no regret God bless them all the old & the young Many of whom were heroes unsung.. © Lynn Blackmore 4/8/14 Written by my good friend Lynn Blackmore in honour of those who lost their lives in Wars
