Our Forefathers (founding fathers if you will) were, for the most part, God fearing men. BUT, they were also learned men. But the latter is of no interest and serves no purpose for Christian Extremism. It was discussed, debated and mulled over, do we have a country that is subject to the same hatred and wars that have followed Religious ideology, or be more grounded and sensible. Thankfully they chose the latter. This never changed Religion in this country, it instead made it clear that religion would not interfere with Government and Government likewise would not interfere with Religion. NOW, if the religious would LIKE to persist, and be more involved, well then be prepared to suffer the ramifications cause Im certain the first thing to go will be not for profit status and the government will take a healthy chunk of those church donations to help fund all the laws that the religious would have the government create and enforce. Remember, be careful what you wish for....
