Our HSM Students are participating in a Charity Dodgeball Tournament for Youth at Gateway Neighborhood Center tonight. Gateway Neighborhood Center provides an essential place for under-resourced youth of Sunnyvale & Mountain View to have a safe and positive outlet, and provides critical opportunities they wouldn’t have otherwise.. Our Team’s goal is to raise $300 Please help us get there!! Join us by pitching in any amount you can, to support our team! Your support will help us advance on the Leader Board among other team …and most of all, you’ll help us “smash” the opportunity gap for under-resourced youth in our community. Thanks for helping make a difference! About Gateway Neighborhood Center Reach Potential oversees the youth and family programming of Gateway Neighborhood Center, to serve low-income kids and help them reach their God-given potential. Reach Potential is co-hosting this event to raise support for youth who cannot afford opportunities that other youth in Silicon Valley enjoy. Surprisingly, 40% of the kids in Sunnyvale & Mountain View public schools are on free & reduced lunch…living below the poverty line! Academic success and competitive sports often carry a price tag that leaves many youth behind. Through Tutoring, Boxing, Mentoring, Leadership Development, Camps and Club sports, Gateway gives kids opportunities, and hope for their future.
