Our Mile Hi Family is an awesome one! I received this email when I arrived home last night from Nicole Brotz, the lady that took the nasty spill between first and second barrel....... I wanted to thank everyone who helped me when I had that bad spill at the race Saturday. I dont know everyones names who helped me but maybe you do. If you do please let them know how grateful I am. I think his name is Deshawn. He put up my horse for me (loaded him in the trailer and everything!), got my cell phone, grabbed one of the girls trucks and drove me to the office. I know one or all of the guys who drag the arena helped carry me out, possibly a random spectator or two and there were several ladies who were by my side elevating my leg and feeding me starbursts who really helped keep me as comfortable as I could be. They were with me at least an hour or two! Im sure they had better things to do but bless all of them. I was in the worst pain ever and without them Im pretty sure I would have passed out and lost my mind! So thank you to ALL of them. I will never forget their acts of kindness. The horse and I are fine. Im swollen up pretty good but feel better today and will heal up and be back at it hopefully soon. Thank you again to those wonderful people.
