Our Military Service Men and Women, including Veterans are heroes to all of us and that is not up for debate on this page. We do have heroes in our communities as well that help those that cannot help themselves. I came across this story on Mount Pleasant Texas Police Department Chief Penn who, on his own, got an $80 donation towards the adoption or medical needs of the hound he is pictured with. I know we have rodeo business to attend to and Pro Fantasy Rodeo winners to crown soon, but I always have time to hear about your community heroes. The entire Mount Pleasant Police Department seems to be involved in their animal shelter and that says a lot about a community! Hats off to Chief Richard Penn! Cuttin Up Radio
