Our Monday Music Box memory comes from a neighborhood of Queens, New York, formed in 1962. Randy & The Rainbows, founded by Ken Arcipowski, consisting of Ken and two sets of brothers ... Dominic Randy & Frank Safuto, and Mike & Sal Zero. The groups main claim to chart success came with a composition by Neil Levenson, with the inspiration being childhood friend Denise LeFrak. Denise reached #18 on the R & B, and #10 on the Pop Charts in the summer of 1963. Two separate groups continue performing today, one as Randy Safutos Randy & The Rainbows, and the other as Mike Zeros Randy & The Rainbows.
