Our Operation Christmas Child team was in Haiti recently. They visited two churches in the Carrefour area of Port au Prince. Carrefour is a tough area, extreme poverty, lack of the basics, no running water, little or no electricity, crime, people living in crowded promiscuous dwellings, a desperate situation for a big population. Almost 50% of children dont go to school in some of parts of the neighborhood. We were encouraged to see almost 150 children graduate from The Greatest Journey program - the children were proud of themselves, and it was a real celebration for their parents and friends. We are so thankful for our donors and The Greatest Journey teachers, who make events like this possible!
