Our Pioneer Generation showed that we can do anything if we put our minds to it. In my Rally speech, I highlighted 3 younger Keppelites who exemplify this spirit. Dorothy Han, Abu Bakar and Roy Lim show that as long as you work hard, you can always improve your life in Singapore. They started work without degrees, but advanced in their careers by mastering deep skills, performing well, and gaining relevant qualifications along the way. I hope their stories will help bring about a cultural change in Singapore. We should value people for their capabilities, contributions and character, and not assess them on their starting qualifications alone. - LHL #ndrsg
