Our San Diego Networking & Educational Seminar for Lymphedema Therapists was a terrific success. We had a very full house and the presentations were state-of-the-art! Heidi Miranda-Walsh explained her methods for treating head and neck lymphedema as well as challenges in treating lower extremity lymphedema patients. Dr. Michelle Heinrichs discussed wound care; Dr. Paula Stewart talked about the precautions that are needed for CTD in medically fragile patients; Dr. Jay Granzow reviewed the latest innovations in lymphedema surgery. Leslyn Keiths talk was quite popular on obesity and lymphedema and the low carb/high fat diet. Bob Weiss reviewed the latest info (as of a few days ago!) for Medicare reimbursement for lymphedema, and Linda Anne Kahn spoke on Lipedema. The catering was fantastic (as we always try to provide healthy and delicious choices!) and our Faculty Dinner at BOMBAY was fun, including a belly dancer and her snake!! The weekend was educational, exciting, great for networking, and also fun. Please check out our website for our schedule of seminars for 2015 at lymphseminars. Our first seminar will be in Houston, TX at the Womans Hospital of TX, Feb 6-8, 2015. Then we will be in Freehold, NJ at CentraState from Mar 6-8, 2015. We are partnering with Klose Training to hold a larger conference in Denver, CO from April 9-11, 2015 and are working on 3 more seminars after these, dates and locations yet to be confirmed.
