Our Scottish Parliament have issued a provisional indicative consideration stage timetable for the private bill showing 2 phases: Phase 1 involving the review of further evidence runs from 26th February until 18th June. Phase 2 (amendments) presumably starts on 18th June, but no further dates have been provided. It looks like the very earliest any bill will receive royal assent will be autumn 2014 So when, in November 2012 City of Edinburgh Council drew up their promotional campaign to get votes for their private bill and claimed that the process would only take 6-9 months, they were lying. Just another of the many lies they have told us about the plans for the new Portobello Park. Anyone believe them when they say they are going to turn the existing school site in to a park?
