Our Sunday service at Restoration Family Worship Centre was truly inspirational. Pastor Ken started a 3-Part Series: Champions of Change. The first message in the series was titled: Emerging With Urgency In A State of Emergency. In this message he expounded on how the world in which we live consists of two distinct orders: (1) The Natural Order in which we operate in by, Sensual Perception or Sense Knowledge and (2) The Kingdom Order in which we operate in by Revelation Knowledge. The natural order he taught is subject to change as the Scriptures clearly articulate in Isaiah 40 v 8, " The grass withers, and the flowers fade...", because they belong to the lower order, the natural order while the Word of the Lord, abides forever, which is of the Higher Order, the Kingdom Order abides forever and is not subject to change. We learnt that our world is one in which change is inevitable, be it personal, environmental, technological, political and economic, change is inevitable. Having grasped the inevitability of change we must prepare ourselves for change at all times by tapping in to the Higher Order and deciphering what God is doing in our time so we can inaugurate that change and be the change agents, catalysts and accelerants we are called to be. We considered the rebuke that Jesus gave to the Pharisees in Luke 12 v 54-56. They were astute at interpreting the dynamics that are perceived by the natural senses, but are ignorant of what God is doing in our age, epoch and our time. We dealt with how change can have us trapped in fear, our fear of change has us living in apprehension instead of anticipation. We become so paralysed that even though our greatest opportunity is upon us we are unable to maximise it because of our apprehension. John the Baptist was our case study, how in Matthew 3 v 1-3, he Emerges In A Time of Emergency, with a voice, John would not wait for others to go first instead he championed the change by being a pioneer, a fire-starter, a ground breaker and an initiator of that which the Kingdom Order was releasing into the natural order. John emerges with a clear voice in the wilderness, as every champion of change must have a voice and a message that they are declaring with boldness and with no apologies.
