Our angel came in the way of a young man in a blue pick-up truck with bottled water as we decided to leave our car and head to Macland Road walking in very cold weather, blowing snow and ice everywhere. He drove us to our subdivision even though we only requested a ride to the top of a hill to Macland Road. There, we would be able to find a resturant for refugde. We had to leave our car (absolutely no traction and ice everywhere)!!! Our car truly had a mind of its own, nearly running into a ditch (twice) five cars (two nearly sliding into us) a fire hydrent, and two stop signs. In a matter of minutes, it looked like a scene from the Tom Cruise movie War Of The Worlds. Cars stranded everywhere! People stranded everywhere! Men, five, six at a time appearing from nowhere with, salt, sand, kitty litter, water; doing all they could to help! I have never experienced anything like it in my life!!! Solid ice everywhere! We were so blessed to be able to get home after 6 hours and pray for anyone still stranded, away from their love ones!
