Our beloved Mrs. Wanner passed away on Wednesday. Those of us who knew her and worked with her have great memories. She was MUCH more than a secretary. Im sure many of you were patched up by her after a playground mishap! Heres the obituary: Rochelle Jeanette Wanner, 77, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 13, 2014 in her home with her family by her side. Jeanette was born December 13, 1936 to John and Hilda (Tasche) Sanecki in Leyden Township, IL on a farm that is now part of OHare Airport. She married John Wanner on June 1, 1957 in Bensenville, IL. She worked for many years as the secretary for Kings Elementary School where she became a great friend and mentor to many. She is a member of the Rochelle United Methodist Church. Jeanette is survived by her beloved husband, John, four sons: Steven (Paula) of Carmel, Indiana, John Jr. (Rhonda) of Louisville, Kentucky, Brian (Kelly) of Rochelle and Michael (Jodi) of St. Augustine Florida; two brothers: John (Marilyn) Sanecki Jr. of Wood Dale, IL and Robin (Carol) Sanecki of Eagan, Minnesota; and 6 grandchildren: Brittany, Karlye, Mark, Abbey, Hayley and David Wanner. The funeral service will be 10:30 A.M., Monday, August 18, 2014 at the Rochelle United Methodist Church with Pastor Cindy Marino officiating. The visitation will be from 2:00 to 5:00, Sunday, August 17 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle. Burial will follow the funeral service at the Lawnridge Cemetery in Rochelle. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or the Rochelle United Methodist Church.
