Our brief break from programs is nearing an end, but theres been no break in the action at the farm. Today, our staff and volunteer saddle fitting team tackled the task of making sure each of our horses is matched with a saddle, or saddles, that fit properly. Also today, volunteer Rogelio and Farm Manager Nic power washed windows and the indoor arena railings while our cleaning crew waxed floors in the family area and multi-purpose rooms. Last week, our driveway and parking lot were sealed and the parking lot restriped. Plus more than 25 Saddle Up! staff and volunteers increased their knowledge and skills at the PATH Intl. Region 5 Conference at Middle Tennessee State University. Several Saddle Up! staff and some of our volunteers were speakers at the conference. A salute to PATH Intl. Region 5 Representative and Saddle Up! Advanced Instructor Susan Lutz and MTSUs Sarah Newton-Cromwell, the conference co-chairs, for a great job that resulted in a great conference! Our fall programs begin this Thursday, August 14, and were eager to get them going.
