Our brilliant electricians Mark and Chris have spent five days working at Terragong, rewiring the front of the house and in the process adding much-needed power outlets in the dining room, library, entrance hall, upstairs landing and master bedroom. Weve added Hampton wall sconces to the entrance hall and upstairs landing and changed over light fixtures (the dining room pendant is vintage). The wall sconces are by Vaughn Lighting and are modelled on originals found in Hampton Court Palace. And no, were not trying to tizzy-up the shed (shades of Green Acres!), but rather the chandelier removed from the master bedroom (which weve replaced with a ceiling fan by Hunter) and which we plan to relocate to the upstairs landing needs re-wiring owing to age...needed to be hung somewhere in the meantime to keep it out of harms way.
