Our careers focus today is on Hydraulic Technicians. Focusing specifically on hydraulics, their day-to-day tasks can vary from flushing and pressure testing of hydraulic installations, to carrying out on-site installations/maintenance and taking oil samples/interpreting oil sampling analysis. The experience required for this role generally includes a completed mechanical apprenticeship, preferably including experience of hydraulics. Alternatively, prior experience of working as a hydraulic technician or trainee hydraulic technician, or in another role where a practical and technical knowledge of hydraulics were obtained would also be acceptable. Candidates should have sound working knowledge of hydraulic pumps, valves, power units, cylinders, accumulators, hydraulic flushing, hydraulic flexible hose assembly and pressure testing. Techs have the possibility of progressing to a senior technician position or even to supervisory or management level if they choose that path. The role of a hydraulic tech is best suited to someone with an interest in hydraulics and mechanical engineering, who enjoys being part of a strong team with a very varied workscope. Techs need to have good computing and record keeping skills and the ability to maintain a prompt and professional manner when dealing with customers. We currently have openings for hydraulic technicians in Qatar and Abu Dhabi (as well as 2x Hose Technician positions), as well as the Queensland area of Australia (Chinchilla/Toowoomba) and Perth, Western Australia.
