Our client, a milling company, is looking to recruit a Shift Miller. You will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all the maize mill production activities as per assigned shift, in addition to ensuring the transfer of raw maize materials from silos to the maize mill in a timely manner. Your duties will include: ensuring the safety, quality and productivity levels are kept to the expected standards of the corporation, ensuring maize is correctly tempered prior to first break scale, ensuring the correct gristing (maize mix) is used at all times, checking the quality of the maize and finished maize meal products, ensuring all processing scales are working accurately at all times, preserving and maintaining all equipment in the mill for production efficiency, generating hourly and daily production reports which are to be submitted to superior on a daily basis and as and when may be required, participating in training and safety courses or management programs such as the kaizen program, in addition to, any other duties as may be assigned by the superior from time to time. To be considered for this position, you must have an advanced Miller certificate and a grade 12 certificate with experience working in an FMCG sector.
