Our client is seeking a Procurement Analyst to support the Supplier Management team and provide cover due to Maternity Leave. The successful candidate will work as part of a specialist purchasing team for learning and development services. To support the rapid expansion of our global services we are recruiting for an individual with excellent analytical skills and the desire to gain experience and further their career in Supplier Management. Who the role supports The Procurement Analyst reports into the Supplier Manager and supports: 1. Supplier Management - in regards to reporting, administrative duties and value add activities 2. Learning Services and Business Development - in regards to providing accurate information as well as support on value add activities from time to time (i.e. sourcing activities, market research and tender processes) Who the role interacts with Internally, the successful candidate will be required to interact with and gather information from all parts of the business. The primary day to day contacts will be with the following roles: Externally, the roles primary interactions will be with suppliers of training products and services and clients when supporting client team activities Key Accountabilities · Key individual to maintain and build analytical reports to support Supply Management team · Production of reports on supplier contracts, purchase trends and supplier performance · Daily administrative duties; such as registration of suppliers and updating contract databases · Develop and implement new ideas, reports and processes to continually improve and enhance the service provided by the Supplier Management division · Support the Supply Management team in additional tasks as and when required · To liaise with other departments, exchanging information and providing purchasing and analytical support to their functions · Escalating and resolving issues with suppliers · Support Supplier Management team during sourcing or tender activities · Identify possible improvements in any aspects of supplier or purchasing function The Individual · Excellent IT and analytical skills (must have ability to use pivot tables and analyse large amounts of data) · Proficient in use of Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word and Excel · High-calibre, enthusiastic individual · Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with staff at all levels · An ability to demonstrate a logical approach to problem solving · Demonstrate initiative, self confidence, and business awareness · Ability to work well as part of a core and wider team · Attention to detail · The ideal candidate would have knowledge of the training industry · Experience within a purchasing and supply chain environment would be advantageous · Appetite to further their career in Supplier Management would be advantageous and supported Key Competencies · Attention to Detail · Decision Making & Problem Solving · Teamwork · Enthusiasm and Self Motivation · Flexibility · Willingness to learn and/or wish to progress their Supplier Management career
