Our culture is saturated with obvious con-artists. Good marketing should not be about ROI alone. It should also consider authenticity and impact. If one is unable to sell something honestly, then I would say they should not be selling it at all. But the average consumer allows bullshit to lead them to purchases. Commercialism as priority is okay, only because it is a norm. You want to ruin the US economy? Consume on.
