Our current system of justice is not perfect by any means, but it - TopicsExpress

Our current system of justice is not perfect by any means, but it is what we have until someone steps forward and shows us a better way that will work. Whether you agree with the Zimmerman verdict or not is for you to decide. As for me I did not follow it while the trial was going on. And now I am glad I did not. I am turning this into an experiment. I am going to read the court transcripts if possible and view as much of the evidence as I can to see if I agree or disagree with the verdict for myself. I only want facts, I will do my best to avoid others thoughts including TV and media which will be hard. We have seen time and time again where the media put numerous articles out. Television get involved and when the trial date comes around it is hard to find those that will look at the evidence and the case in the proper manor so that the accused has the right to a fair trial because by that point most of us have already come to some conclusion. It’s like a Maury Show. She says that he is the father and has her say before he (the accused) comes out and then when he does come out and the audience is booing and thumbs down etc. Then Maury reads the DNA results and everyone finds out that he is not the father. Do you ever see someone in the audience stand up and say I am sorry to the guy for judging too quickly? At this point there is not too much any of us can do about the Zimmerman trial. It’s over regardless of what any of us think. But, to go out and riot, do damage to others and their property is not only wrong, but crazy. Someone please tell me when in history was there ever a time when two wrongs made a right!
