Our daughter came to us complaining about her English language´s - TopicsExpress

Our daughter came to us complaining about her English language´s work book indicating racist sentences. She has initiated this discussion with her English language teacher who promised that she will not teach that part of the book to her students in the future also she has asked our daughter if she may file a complaint about this issue as the teacher is not allowed to file complaints regarding this( I don´t know why and if someone knows why please do enlighten us) . Now, What do you think about the sentence 4? Do you think this is just another coincidence that has nothing to do with racism or discrimination? or do you believe that this is a clear act of injecting student´s books with discriminative/racist expressions? Note: I am referring to black people living in Africa and sentence 4 that indicates township. The word township has different meanings in different countries but in this context the book defines township as a slum city where black people live in South Africa.
