Our elected officials should realize this: They should treat us all as equals. They must remember we are ALL Nisgaa Citizens. They must remember that it would be in THEIR best interest to have more trust in their constituents. They must remember that once they put that trust in us, there would not be any hard feelings of distrust coming from those they are treating as Second Class Citizens, as Wards of the State. I left last nights meeting feeling somewhat hopeful of our Executive rectifying the communication issue between their Vancouver constituents and themselves. Then once i got home, I saw this media advisory telling of a signing ceremony for the Nisgaa Nation (not NLG) & PRGT to go into negotiation with each other with regards to a Benefit Package. It disgusts me that these 5 individuals sat in front of us all and said to our faces publicly: 1.) that they were here to meet with us 2.) that they would rectify the communication issue and failed to let us know first hand that they were in Vancouver for this signing ceremony. Once bitten, twice shy! My trust in each of you is lacking ten fold now. I cannot trust very much from any of you at all anymore!
