Our fallen heroes will never be forgotten. Their memory lives on in their families, and in the NYPD family. And now it will live on in the streets of the communities these brave men lived in and protected. This is an expression of our pride in each of these men, and our sadness at their loss, said Mayor Bill de Blasio. Tuesday, the councils Parks Committee passed the bill. The full council votes Thursday. The Mayor, council and all others need to show the same concern, remorse, urge to do something for the families of the victims who were unarmed, innocent, and harmless, no matter if the legal system dropped the ball. We Will Not Be Silent should bring the names and we all should be at this meeting for this vote to let them know we are here, families are still hurting, and our fallen need to be respected. Our fallen have fell because of chokeholds, public bullets, and other forms of harassment, recklessness and the disregard of their lives.
