Our federal government, in order to perform its legitimate - TopicsExpress

Our federal government, in order to perform its legitimate functions of helping us to expertly defend our innate God-given rights, needs to raise revenue somehow, and tariffs (which are taxes upon imported/exported goods) are one possible source of such revenue. But theyre not the only source of it, and Im alright with eliminating tariffs in favor of free trade, as long as its genuine free trade. But I firmly oppose falsely-labeled free-trade agreements that are actually managed-trade agreements, which create multinational bureaucracies to micromanage international trade among various blocs of nations. We should note that such managed-trade zones have, since World War II, repeatedly served as initial steps toward further political/economic integration of their constituent states through both customs unions and common markets into Communities and then through both monetary unions and political unions into Unions. This five-step process is essentially how the European Union has already developed, it is also how both the African Union and the Union of South American Nations are developing, and it appears to be how others want a North American Union and an Asian Union and a Pacific Union to develop. I might uphold the development of such continental unions if they were ever both (A) popularly-demanded for good reason and (B) well-designed to help their citizens to expertly defend their innate God-given rights, as these United States were under their original Constitution; however, because these new continental governments have almost invariably been imposed by conspiring elitists through deceit to tyrannize/enslave their citizens, I fervently oppose them. I likewise oppose related efforts by globalists to integrate every state into a single tyrannical political system under the corrupt evil United Nations, which would fulfill a long-term communistic goal. Heres an interesting John Birch Society video that explains how various trade agreements both have been and are being used to integrate these United States with other nations worldwide to the detriment of our rightful liberty. So, we Americans who still value our rightful liberty under Constitutional law would do well to reject this growing web of entangling managed-trade agreements that erode our federal governments political independence and, instead, seek simple uniform low (or no) tariffs. Inasmuch as we Americans may trade freely with other nations, I also think that, although its nice to save money, there are more important values than cheapness for us to consider when were choosing what to buy from whom, such as whether or not were rewarding rights-violators who wantonly poison peoples air and water, which are genuine crimes and should be treated as such, or whether or not were enriching oppressors who would like to enslave not only their own people but us, as well. But, although Ill exercise my right to preach such things to others, Ill also respect others rights to purchase as they please, and I wont look to our federal government to try to compel others to shop as I please. I believe that our Earthly governments should NOT dictate how we will exercise our rights but, instead, should help us to expertly defend our rights so that we may freely choose for ourselves.
