Our federal legislators should have to pass a test before being permitted to vote on each bill. The bills have gotten too big to read -- Ted Cruz found a paragraph in the 1201 page Senate Amnesty bill that gave the IRS the ability to fine an employer up to $5000 for hiring an American over a Mexican that received amnesty. Reduce all bills to just one item with NOTHING tagged on and each legislator would need to pass a comprehensive test over each bill with a minimum passing score of 70% before they could vote on that bill. Perhaps then, we can add some honesty and quality in bills without hidden pork and ye olde "pass the bill and then find out what is in it crap" will be history.
